Pros

I'm surprised the other reviews are so negative. It is all small team but I didn't find it that hard to navigate. The work they do is very important, which is worth a lot to me. I think if you work closely with the ED you have to click with her style, but you'll see what that is in your interview. I didn't see people working long hours when I was there.

Cons

There's only 4-5 people who are full time. They do everything else with temps and interns. Clearly it would be hard to move up in those circumstances. They seem to have ambitions of being bigger, but I think they've always been about this size. It's a typical small non profit, with some typical disorganization.

Pros

The building is in a nice location, the multi-use work space is a bonus.

Cons

Although not obvious on the surface, the work environment is toxic. I was a new employee and was blantantly being talked about in a passive aggressive way by other employees. The other reviews are correct in that there is no room for mistakes, and it causes others to be tense, uptight and highly judgemental. The Executive Director's attitude seems to set the tone for the office, and by no means in a good way . On my first day, the first words out her mouth after we were introduced was "Where did we get you from?" not a hello, how are you etc... It was very off putting.
