      Amazing career building power to win justice - Organizer DART Center Employee Review

      Pros

      - a model for uniting diverse people of faith to build power - a career where you successfully win systemic changes that changes people's lives for years to come - every day you are out in the community building relationships 1-1 with very diverse people. It's really amazing when your job is to connect people across lines of race, religion, political persuasion etc. - DART provides a lot of support and training in your first year and then beyond. Many opportunities for career advancement from associate organizer to lead organizers to consultant. Many have been working with DART affiliates for over 10 years.

      Cons

      -You definitely need to be resilient to be an organizer in DART. Working with so many different people there will be frustrations and disappointments. - This is a model of organizing around building relationships for the long term. Not a good job for someone who only wants to be in a place for a year and them move on.

      The work/life balance can be a challenge, but with proper training and support this can be overcome!

      interviwein with them was a harrowing experience. it seemed like they wanted to break me down or see me cry.
