Pros
Really special colleagues who are knowledgeable and hard working; colleagues are, on the whole, very supportive of each other.
Cons
There's a high level of control and fearfulness, and a low level of transparency at the top of the organization. Periodic performance reviews promise change but rarely deliver. Decisions seem frequently to be made by fear, behind closed doors and staff are disenfranchized.
The CEO has the ability to be inspiring but whether due to insecurity or not, has the ability to humiliate people and can act out of defensiveness.
Due to the size of the organization there’s very little opportunity for much career progression.
