Drive to all sorts of different job sites. You work with a bunch of different contractors.

Unknown hours. You won't know if you work the next day until the day before. Can be long hours, regular, or short. It varies day by day and job to job.

Excellent pay some days, but it’s never guaranteed.

Incredibly inconsistent work schedule. You never know if you’re working until the day before. Then you might not get scheduled for two weeks or more even if you’re competent, despite supervisors saying how busy they are. Employer requires but does NOT provide PPE, which is an OSHA violation. You’re also never guaranteed more than one break (if that) and it often doesn’t happen when you need it. The GM/dispatch can be retaliatory.
