Exploitative, Ageist and Toxic - Engineer Custodia Technology Employee Review

Pros

No pros apart from occasionally being mocked in front of a whole room by Executives.

Cons

This company is deeply ageist, particularly towards employees under 30. If you’re in this age group, expect to be paid at least £15k below what you’re worth, while the expectations placed on you far exceed reasonable limits. Younger staff are consistently overworked and undercompensated, with little to no recognition of their contributions. There is absolutely no formal training provided, and with senior leadership almost entirely remote, it’s nearly impossible to learn or develop your skills. There’s no clear path for progression within the company—if anything, the only progression seems to be out the door. Management, especially the CEO, is notoriously unsupportive. Employees can be fired over minor issues, like something as trivial as a LinkedIn post mentioning open opportunities. The company shows little regard for personal circumstances or employee well-being, creating a toxic environment of fear and instability. It’s also worth noting that they have a history of removing critical reviews from Glassdoor. If this review disappears, it’s likely because they don’t want the truth to be seen. In short, if you value fair pay, proper training, and a clear career path, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Pros

I love being part of something bigger and here I am able to use my skills, not just in one arena to help make a difference. Everyone here expects others to be adults and do the right thing. Perfectly in line with my values.

Cons

none that I can think of.

Pros

The salary and benefits were decent

Cons

As others have stated, the overall vibe here is just toxic. The CEO and management are completely toxic, selfish, and look out for themselves. Asking for help is frowned upon, and there is no leadership to guide/mentor you. The whole mentality is: figure it out on your own, or we'll find someone else HR posting a positive review is laughable, as the entire world now knows that "Human" resources is really corporate resources, and they aren't hired to be on the side of the employee. They are hired to be the enforcers of the CEO. If you are job seeking, you have so many better options than this place. Do yourself a favor and take these negative reviews to heart and look for a better company that actually cares about its employees. I had so many doubts about joining this place, but was lured in by the salary offer. I should have stuck to my instincts and said no.
