Pros

None. Tried very hard to think of something positive but sadly couldn't.

Cons

CEO is very disrespectful to its employees. He is a very capricious and emotional person; he always brings his emotions to work. He has never worked for someone before so he does not know what it takes to be a leader, let alone a good leader. Work environment is toxic; creates constant fear in the air. Don't waste your time or energy here.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Glassdoor. It is important for us to hear what we are doing well and what we need to improve upon. We are not used to receiving feedback that is so negative, and I'm not happy to hear that your experience working here has been unsatisfactory. Respect is one of the core values of Cuseum, and we make this value crystal clear during the first day of onboarding when reviewing our company’s culture code with each new member of the team. We treat others how we wish to be treated and always attempt to go above and beyond for our teammates, customers, and partners. I do acknowledge that while working at a startup, especially during a time of uncertainty due to the pandemic, not every moment is guaranteed to be smooth sailing and that there were some difficult decisions that needed to be made which may have directly affected you. But that said, respect, courtesy, and positivity are always a part of our culture, outlook, and rhythm here at Cuseum. As CEO, my door is always up to every member of my team. I frequently host one-on-one and feedback sessions and provide spaces for anonymous feedback about various aspects of the company’s culture, strengths, weaknesses, and more. We also host company-wide review meetings (State of the Company) each and every quarter, where team members are encouraged to provide fully anonymous reviews and feedback on the company, the management team, culture, product, and trajectory. I’m pleased to report that feedback from these surveys indicates that our company culture is positive, supportive, and inclusive, and feedback from recent employee exit interviews echo that same sentiment. As CEO, respect is a value that I’ve been personally committed to instilling in the company culture since day #1. On any account, it sounds like you had a very different experience at Cuseum and with me in particular, and I’d welcome the opportunity to hear more about your specific encounters, especially as they are unlike the feedback I receive from my team. My email is brendan@cuseum.com, and my door is always open. Thank you, Brendan Ciecko CEO & Founder

Pros

- Amazing team: thoughtful, hardworking, invested in each other's success as well as success of the company - Leadership extremely supportive & invested in employee professional growth, encouraging honest feedback and democratic collaborative endeavors - Actually encourages a healthy, holistic work-life balance – not just lip-service - Effective remote environment - open & consistent communication that allows for autonomy while preserving accountability and nurturing teamwork

Cons

- Expected downsides of any fully-remote work environment: occasional breakdown of collaborative tasks & projects due to differing schedules, timezones, imperfect communication processes - Onboarding protocol & infrastructure for new employees could be more organized

Pros

Very supportive and friendly work environment, where asking questions is encouraged and everyone is open to offering help when needed. Everyone is super friendly and after several weeks of daily stand-ups with the whole team, you really feel like you're part of a family. It's a very autonomous workplace where everyone oversees their own tasks, but I never felt neglected or unable to ask for support. If anything, there was a lot of flexibility and freedom to supervise my own work without someone micro-managing my every move. The majority of learning / training is hands-on, which also means you can grow quickly within the company.

Cons

N/A (I really have nothing negative to say, I had a great time and couldn't have asked for a better place to gain early professional experience)
