Pros

-Work/Life Balance: I read the other day, "And maybe that's the true measure of success. The freedom to do your job, while being available to your kids (life outside of work)." Working at CA has been able to give me an incredible sense of fulfillment. I love the work we do here and am committed to it. Yet, there is no expectation from the company for me to give up other aspects of my life to complete this work. Burnout is not expected or celebrated here. Especially after this last year, CA has done and continues to support its employees not just professionally, but also personally. Whether it is through providing online (or in person when possible) fitness classes, supporting parents with remote instruction/flexible schedules, or caring about the mental health of its employees, I am grateful to work for a company that cares about its employees. -Positive Team Culture: The culture here is supportive and inclusive. People here each other rise rather than step on each other on the way up. It is rewarding to work somewhere that supports both personal and professional growth. -Mission-Driven: I am honored to work for a company that has the values it has and lives up to them. -Rob Waldron, CEO: It would be hard to write a review of the company and not mention Rob Waldron. He leads the company with integrity, grace, and humor. His energy and enthusiasm are the driving forces behind everything the company stands for. He is the kind of leader that invites employees to his house for dinner and sends everyone a personally addressed and signed holiday card.

Cons

I wish everyone had the opportunity to know what it's like to work at CA.

We’re so glad you’re finding such fulfillment at CA while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. This year presented many unexpected challenges and, while we’re thrilled to hear about your positive experience, we continue to evaluate different ways to improve the remote employee experience. Thanks for the kind words about Rob Waldron, CEO! Rob certainly leads with integrity and grace, but it’s the hard work of every single CA employee, like yourself, that helps make us who we are at our core. Thank you for your contributions towards improving the lives of teachers and students! - Shrina

Thank you for sharing this feedback — and for the energy you brought to your time here. It's genuinely great to hear that the people and the professional opportunities stood out to you. Supporting the growth of everyone on our team — including those early in their careers — is something we care about, and it's meaningful to know that showed up in your experience. We appreciate you taking the time to share it.

Pros

Before working at Curriculum Associates, I was an elementary teacher using i-Ready in my classroom for both reading and math. It was such an important resource to me... so much so that I actually remember Googling "how to work for i-Ready" because I wanted to learn more about the company behind it! That eventually led me to the EdTech Fellowship, which gave me the chance to see the corporate side of education after only really knowing the classroom side. I really enjoyed the fellowship and knew pretty quickly that I wanted to stay at CA if there was ever an opportunity. I’ve now been here for almost two years and have had the unique experience of being in the fellowship, a temporary role, and now a full-time role. I’ve truly had a great experience in each stage and have felt supported as I’ve continued to grow and learn. One thing I really appreciate about CA is how mission-aligned people are. As someone who has been both a teacher using the product and now an employee working behind the scenes, I can say that people here care about supporting teachers and students. That shared purpose makes the work feel meaningful and makes it easy to feel connected to the people around you!!

Cons

The transition from teaching into the corporate world can come with a learning curve (which I think the Ed Tech Fellowship really helped with!)

Thank you so much for sharing this. It’s especially meaningful to hear from someone who first experienced i-Ready in the classroom and later joined the team through the EdTech Fellowship. We’re so glad to hear you’ve felt supported throughout each stage of your journey at Curriculum Associates. Knowing that the mission and care for teachers and students has felt genuine both inside and outside the classroom means a lot to us. We also appreciate you mentioning the transition from teaching into the corporate world. That shift can definitely come with a learning curve, and we’re glad the fellowship helped make it feel more approachable. Thank you again for sharing your experience and for being part of the team!
