Pros

I don't have much to share in terms of pros, as my stay at this company was short (less than 3 months). The one redeeming quality of this place is that they have a handful of smart and talented people who, I think, should utilize their skills at a workplace with better leadership, management and values.

Cons

The work-life balance just doesn't exist in this company. You will be treated as a slave, nobody here is going to respect the fact that you might have a life outside of work. The leadership doesn't care about anyone below them in the corporate hierarchy. In fact, on the day of my resignation, the boss didn't even know that I hadn't showed up to work in the last two weeks and that I am actually leaving the company. Now, to get specific, I got severely bullied by my manager. I believe that this person has dreamt of having a position of power for their last 40 years, and finally got carte blanche. Gaslighting, manipulation, abuse of power — this person's hands were tied loose during these three months. Why? Because THEIR manager is in the Czech Republic. No one here to stop them. There were days when I would experience multiple panic attacks at my workplace. Spoke to the manager about it. They promised to take it to HR. They never did that. I took it to HR. They didn't do anything. When, on my way back home, my leg started twitching, and I couldn't stop it, I realized that I must stop this to save my health. On my last day, when I asked if perhaps there's a similar position at another department where I could be transferred I was told that there's no such position. Checked the jobs listing at RFE/RL. There was a position exactly like that. I'm pretty positive I can now write a book about this experience. I would probably have to spend all the money on therapy, though.

Pros

A new television and a first 24/7 television of a Radio (the company is part of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty) with a 70-years history, for the past four years Current Time has been in constant development, so creative energy was filling everything we did: new media, new challenges, new formats. Everything to reinvent from the scratch. Very prominent.

Cons

Unfortunately in the past year the management of the holding is a bit lost in their own intrigues, trying to save their jobs with great benefits and not much interested in what their employees are doing. This does not inspire us, 'humble workers'.
