great learning experience - Trainee Accountant Curran & Connors Employee Review

I started as a freelancer at Curran & Connors, the amount of trust and encouragement I received from creative directors really helped me focus my energy in a positive way and become a much better designer. Now as a full time employee I have learned how the company works and how much creativity can be cultivated when you find the right fit. Employees that show up early and stay late to give our clients a great experience when they work with us.

We are going through a transition period right now and learning who will be taking certain responsibilities; it can be a bit stressful at times, but something that will make us all better employees and well rounded. Need to up the communication all around so that everyone can be on the same page.

I love what I do. I come to work everyday and get to work on a team of people I truly respect and like. For the first time in my career, I strive to do better because of the people working on my team. Another first, I have tremendous respect for the leader of my team for his immersion in the changes that may be necessary to improve the state of this company.

Reading some of the posts, it is obvious there is a long history to this company with its ups and downs. There was a point over the past year or so where I was concerned for the overall health of the company. There was a major restructuring and this will require a bit more effort in rebuilding. However, the people doing the work have the opportunity to try to improve things internally. I don't know the details of upper management, which may actually be a positive. As someone who is doing the production work, I need not be concerned with that. As stated above, I come to work every day and do what I love among inspired and creative people.
