Pros

Casual dress, friendly coworkers, infrequent teambuilders and lunches, downtown office, exciting clients to work with

Cons

Long story short, do not work here if you value your mental health and work life balance. The leaders are the company aren't bad people, but the good moments don't excuse that there is zero accountability and a lot of missed potential for the company simply due to ego. Here are things that happened during my employment: -clients were lied to about engagement and ROI, with extreme price tags for mediocre work (no models provided for shoots, last min changes, etc) -employees were not always paid for the work they completed -numbers were inflated falsely to the team itself and to clients -leaders of the company were MIA before lockdown for pandemic, communication not adequate if/when problems arise -there is no HR here, inappropriate language used to describe homeless people, private conversations shared, awkwardly personal or threatening meetings to address issues -vacation not tracked properly, sick days were counted towards vacation days -multiple people were "required" in-office during peak of pandemic though work could be done from home, staff were reprimanded for asking questions about pandemic protocol -favouritism and nepotism is a factor, and employees aren't treated equally even for the same issues or given the same perks -paid client posts were deleted/changed with no explanation, leaving us account managers in trouble with clients -targets were unrealistic and staff felt stretched thin with overtime being deemed mandatory for some -for "charitable" christmas giveaway, some clients were charged while others were not -used photos without permission and deleted negative comments from followers, ending in legal action and racism accusations during peak of BLM -suggestions for improvement were ignored or held against those who did speak up -no benefits are offered, raises are scarce, employees were not given adequate feedback or support and insulted when following up on management's promises -employees were let go under false pretenses and proper constructive criticism/exit interviews never provided -known scam events/companies were promoted for easy clicks -some followers never received their contest prizes -company rebranded multiple times with little to no communication with the team -culture was cliqueey and office was sometimes uncomfortable to be in -onboarding was very limited, employees often felt confused about processes, and employees had to buy their own laptop, work phone, etc. -employees didn't feel safe speaking up for fear of retaliation
