Pros

Great team and made good friends with peers

Cons

Long hours, stressful and a lot of politics My experience working at Cundall taught me that employment is simply a business that you make with the company. I do not recommend working there is you're not a big fan of politics and overtime work. My managers asked me to share my work which I delivered in my previous company with her, as a template for a project. I refused (due to legal reasons) and then she went mad and said I am not a team player. I raised this to the office director, but there was no consequence for my manager.

Hello, and thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear you have not had the greatest experience working at Cundall, and we are always keen to receive honest feedback to help us improve. Reviews like this really help us in identifying areas where we need to do better. Your review will be highlighted to our Management Board and to the Hong Kong Management Team so that we can fully take your feedback on board. Cundall operates with strict ethical business policies and we believe that our business interests are best served by behaving responsibly towards all of our stakeholders, clients, staff, suppliers, and the communities in which we operate. The principals of our policies align with our core values and we would never expect our employees to do anything unlawful or unethical. We do have robust procedures in place which allow employees to escalate concerns of this nature outside of their immediate line management structure, and so we hope that you felt comfortable enough to reach out to our Human Resources department on this issue. Our Hong Kong office has recently been involved in some large scale, high profile, industry-leading projects, which we recognise have resulted in peaks in workload, and which we understand have put our people under some pressure. Unfortunately, the nature of our industry means that such peaks in workload do occur from time to time, but our flexible working arrangements should allow employees to take some of this time back during less busy periods.

Pros

Great support team and I was always busy with tasks to complete

Cons

Due to the variety of different projects each for a short amount of time, getting to know people well was difficult!

Pros

There are genuinely knowledgeable and capable people here, with strong technical expertise to learn from across the business. The early careers learning and development programme is a real strength: it gave me structured opportunities to practise skills on the job, understand my own working style, and develop professionally. Many colleagues are warm and approachable, and there are good relationships to be found across the wider organisation. My line manager also made real efforts to support me.

Cons

Team culture can vary a lot depending where you land. In some teams the management style leans toward micromanagement, and there can be limited room to take genuine ownership of your work or to correct mistakes independently before they escalate. The culture in places blurs the line between colleagues and close friends, which won't suit everyone — those who prefer clearer professional boundaries may find it a difficult fit.
