Pros

Outstanding variety of work, the local team in the Madrid office are fantastic people. New Madrid office on Gran Vía is really nice too. Madrid pay is excellent relative to Spanish salaries, and the regional UK offices pay decently as well.

Cons

Working with the technical team leads in London is a truly disgusting experience. You can never trust a word they say, even if it's in writing half the time, and they will chew you up and spit you out. I was lied to my face repeatedly by higher-ups. Micro-management is also through the roof with them; you find yourself questioning even the phrasing of simple Teams messages. They persistently play politics with people on lower grades, openly devalue you in front of colleagues, and are hilariously clear about playing favourites. People at lower grades should not have to have stand-up arguments with someone in a leadership position of another office (London) when the latter tries to blame an intern / graduate for something that one of the London team messed up.

Pros

Great support team and I was always busy with tasks to complete

Cons

Due to the variety of different projects each for a short amount of time, getting to know people well was difficult!

Pros

There are genuinely knowledgeable and capable people here, with strong technical expertise to learn from across the business. The early careers learning and development programme is a real strength: it gave me structured opportunities to practise skills on the job, understand my own working style, and develop professionally. Many colleagues are warm and approachable, and there are good relationships to be found across the wider organisation. My line manager also made real efforts to support me.

Cons

Team culture can vary a lot depending where you land. In some teams the management style leans toward micromanagement, and there can be limited room to take genuine ownership of your work or to correct mistakes independently before they escalate. The culture in places blurs the line between colleagues and close friends, which won't suit everyone — those who prefer clearer professional boundaries may find it a difficult fit.
