Where to begin….their slogan is “we change lives” that they sure do. Being a minion admin employee, they treat their lower level staff like toddlers. You have to tell them at all times when you leave your desk, where you are going. So if you need to go to the toilet you literally had to tell them where you were going….not far off from being back in school and raising your hand and asking for permission. They do not promote or encourage team work, it’s very much a place where your job is your job and that is what you’ve been hired to do and numerous times, my ex manager and other senior colleagues (be senior I refer to their longevity) told me when I offered to help out a different department, to “stay in your lane”!!! I have never worked in such an environment where teamwork is discouraged. It is by far the worse place I have worked, emotionally and physiologically it has scarred me deeply and I am so glad to be rid of them. So yeah, Cullimore Dutton, you do change lives; since working with you I’m on strong antidepressants, all thanks to the horrible environment and belittling treatment provided by the management team. If you’re looking for a legal admin job, stay way clear. As a non fee earner, you are dispensable. You do not count because you do not bring money into the firm, therefore you are treated like a minion. The ethos of the business portrays that they care and they help people “change their lives” but that is literally bull sh*t. They will change your lives but not positively! In my experience, they suck the life out of you and make you feel worthless.
