Pros
Very few. Vicinity to my house and I like how laid back my fellow GM is. I can bring my laptop to work and just code and work on side hustles on the clock without a care in the world. That's about it. If you have a miserable, power hungry GM who will stab your in the back for a can of Diet Coke and some Spotlight approval from the District Manager, you are screwed, however!
Cons
You are a site manager, janitor, accountant (You're expected to make daily bank runs before noon, lol) customer service agent and bill collector all in one! And that's all on a good day! Also, the daily nitpicking of irrelevant, low ROI tasks is appalling. We have glaring cracks on our windows and floors, not to mention 3-4 days a week at a time @ our specific facility the elevator goes out, but our district manager is putting me on the naughty list for wearing sweats on a cold winter day? Way to prioritize the business! Our customer's would rather I wear nothing but a CubeSmart branded thong provided we actually cater to their needs as a company and help them out.
