When first employed you are sold the dream of further development and opportunity, however that is quickly taken away with the lack of structure yet high expectation of doing multiple roles at a low pay grade with no support from management. Management teams (especially in the Sydney head office) have a superiority complex and take little initiative to lead or train their staff. When mistakes arise from the lack of training and direction, management teams play the blame game in order to save themselves instead of acting like leaders. Human Resources are understaffed, and protect internal bullies from any disciplinary action and take too long to follow up on important culture issues brought to their attention. Management team tight on money and try and run the hotel at the absolute bare minimum. Pay below industry average. Multiple cliques within the hotel which makes the workplace culture toxic.
