Pros

Been through a couple management changes since I started. Each have had different financial paths, enterprise goals, and requirements of staff. They do spend money, they do value IT, and they do respect a healthy work/life balance to some extent. If something is needed here, you'll have it the next day. They have good infrastructure in place and plans to upgrade most of it. Solid E.O.L. polices for old hardware. There's a couple "why the hell is that still a thing" systems, but they're good at upgrading. Pretty standardized on desktop level, big helpdesk, but like all other sides of IT. It's just big enough to provide good support for their current user base. Projects pull people off of X to work on Y and both sides stress. There's also a very talented team of professionals across the entire team. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable and C&F has really built a solid team. Not once have thought poorly of a co-workers ability.

Cons

Like any other I.T. job sometimes you take on more than you can handle and this requires unrealistic work hours and long weekends. They have no problem flying people where ever the help is needed though. IT managers like to push for shorter deadlines sometimes and create stress all to push something up 2 - 4 weeks. The times between projects are smooth sailing. Project work, upgrading, proactive stuff. It's a very up/down work environment but they provide a healthy vacation package to allow you time to recharge, and pretty solid coverage for most teams that you can actually vacation days.
