Pros

I loved the mission, their goals, flexibility, and grace. They wanted to help as many students as possible and really succeeded in the lives of several. I was their career coach before contracted as a coordinator and really enjoyed both of my jobs. The directors and supervisors are open to learning new things and often times there were team efforts to learn and grow together. Also, the pay was generous and the office building is beautiful and well kept. Lastly, executives, other higher up managers, and staff stayed and helped on Wednesday night events. There's a lot of group effort.

Cons

There are a lot of problems to solve, but I respect that they are putting in the work. Though the mission and aspirations are great, the execution struggles.

Pros

Great work-life balance and focus on the "whole employee." Executives are focused on building up employees to win in their job and personal lives. Nice salary structure, especially for nonprofits.

Cons

Every organization has issues from time to time but I cannot think of anything too awful.

Pros

The mission of the organization is fantastic, and many individuals have been supported by its work. There are truly lovely employees that create a great atmosphere. There is always opportunity to grow and learn new skills.

Cons

Leadership at CP is more concerned with optics and self-aggrandizement than actually helping people. They recruit people of color to work for them for the sake of optics but use them and refuse to hear their actual voices. Jason is like a poisonous tropical fish - his charm pulls you in, but if you get too close, he is poison. If you’re a smart person looking to love your neighbor, be prepared to be steamrolled into doing exactly what they want (regardless of if you agree), or you will find yourself verbally and spiritually abused.
