Pros

Cronofy is a great place to work. I am trusted as an expert in my field and given autonomy to make the decisions on how we do things in my department. Cronofy operates based on a set of shared principals, to which we all agree and abide, meaning that we can each hold each other accountabile if needs be. There is a culture of communication, transparency and honesty. Each team does an excellent job of explaining why they've chosen a particular methodology or product strategy, meaning that engagement is consistently high and that the team are all working towards the same goal. It is clear from the outset that Cronofy values its employees. Salary is incredibly competitive. All new starters receive the best equipment to work on (Macbook Pro). All expenses are paid via Pleo (meaning that you are never out of pocket because of work expenses). You are provided with and actively encouraged to take personal development time. Cronofy is flexible in relation to working hours and values their employees having a healthy work/life balance. I feel supported and valued at Cronofy. Personally, I value the shared ambition, shared throughout the business. Cronofy does not cut corners and aspires to do things in the best way possible. I admire that as a business, we are correctly seen as the subject matter experts when it comes to scheduling. However, we also accept that things can go wrong, mistakes can happen, and that we must learn from them to grow and progress.

Cons

This not be the place for you if you aren't a self-starter or don't share the ambition of the company.

Pros

The people are really nice and supportive. On paper, the company looks interesting and full of potential. If you can stay out of the CEO’s way, you might enjoy working here.

Cons

You’re encouraged to take risks and try new things to improve the product ( it really needs to), but in reality, your ideas only move forward if you are lucky and they match the CEO’s very rigid, specific views. Some kind of vision would be useful, but instead, he’s all around, his communication style, often sarcastic or dismissive, creates a culture that supports only his voice. No growth. Zero in and out.

Pros

Smart team members who support you and help you grow. The company respects your work-life balance and is very accommodating (.e.g company card, flexible schedule, learning opportunities via personal development days).

Cons

The company has potential, but the CEO is its biggest drawback. While he is undeniably smart, he lacks emotional intelligence and fairness. He also tends to gatekeep crucial information, making it difficult to succeed in your role. If the CEO does not like you, your best bet is to leave as trying to succeed will be a long road of obstacles put in your way.

It is really disappointing when, despite a lot of effort, a working relationship doesn’t work out. Sometimes however different approaches just can’t be reconciled. I am concerned that you feel that information was withheld from you. It was absolutely not the intention. Please contact any member of the senior team with details so we can learn from this. I truly wish you every success in finding a role that better fits what you’re looking for. - Adam Bird, CEO
