Pros

-Name recognition (get to work with a large communications client, as well as alongside Omnicom agencies within the LA office). -Base salaries are competitive.

Cons

-Lack of leadership within the LA office (CM Calgary runs the show). -Teams are a mix of remote (i.e. CM Calgary) and LA employees, which leads to inter-office political clashes. -Grind culture with hourly fire drills / quick turn request. Constant burn-out of employees with little care from leadership on the lack of bodies to do the work. -Toxic work culture that thrives on back-stabbing / gossip. -Egos across departments (esp. in Creative and Strategy), leaving a few "worker bee" AMs/PMs to pick-up slack. -Non-competitive PTO / benefits.

Thank you for this note and bringing this information to our attention. The kind of behaviour you’ve described doesn’t align with our values and we’re looking into this further – we take this kind of feedback really seriously. With regards to our LA leadership, we’re happy to have our new head of the account and EVP in LA to lead the charge. We know this person will be a great addition to our local leadership, help with the work across teams and support our One CM approach – crucial to who we are at Critical Mass. I’d be happy to speak more with you – I know you’re no longer at Critical Mass, but you can always reach me at rebeccab@criticalmass.com. Thanks!

Pros

People want you to gain exposure, get stronger, get better at your job

Cons

...they just can't pay you for it, or it goes unnoticed! Lack of promotions/new business has stifled morale. Strange office vibe with merger. Transparency could improve. Benefits are terrible
