Pros

Some team members are highly skilled so it was an okay networking experience.

Cons

The recent reviews of Criterion Edge reflect the truth about the company. There is a large mismanagement of resources and timelines, and huge reliance on unskilled, off-shore teams. Work is delivered poorly by these teams, management disrespects the opinions of seasoned writers. Don't waste your time and energy.

Pros

Work from home - huge! Opportunity to work with a variety of projects in pharma, IVD, and medical devices. Internal teams are very supportive, and they consistently check in to ensure the workload is manageable. They will pull in extra help if needed for the project. A lot of paid holidays, unlimited PTOs, and the company is closed between Christmas and New Year.

Cons

As a CRO, we often encounter clients with changing scopes and deadlines, which can be stressful. No 401(k) match.

Pros

-Remote work flexibility (when work was actually assigned) -Occasionally interesting projects (if given enough hours to complete them properly)

Cons

-Severe mismanagement of resources and timelines -Heavy reliance on low-cost offshore writing teams in India, whose quality did not meet regulatory standards -U.S.-based writers were marginalized, underutilized, and often denied hours in favor of cheaper labor -Leadership was unprofessional and dismissive of quality concerns -Pressure to reduce hours to unrealistic levels, directly impacting the quality and accuracy of deliverables -Little to no support or collaboration from management — often condescending and unapproachable

Criterion Edge Response
1y
We are disappointed to see a clearly disgruntled contractor review. At Criterion Edge, we value all our employees and contractors located around the world, but sometimes, as is the case here, the match is not optimal. While we strive to communicate honestly and transparently to all our contractors, unfortunately, in this case, it seems the individual misconstrued our communications as undervaluing his/her value to the company. It is true that as an expert service provider for extremely demanding clients, Criterion Edge is often given tight timelines and limited budgets to complete our work. We are still required to adhere to the highest quality standards. This results in pressure for our highly-skilled consultants, but we take great pains to provide all of our Criterion Edge colleagues with the flexibility, benefits and support to create the work-life balance they deserve. We are sorry that this was not enough for this contractor and wish him/her success in their ongoing career.
