Pros

Snacks, mom and pop business type feel, occasional beautiful products, dynamic and talented co-workers, location

Cons

Lack of planning, lack of vision, lack of management, no training and development, low pay, long hours, high expectations, quick turn around, low quality materials, "cheaper the better" mentality, mediocre benefits, unsafe work environment

Creoworks Response

I'm genuinely sorry that this seems to have been your experience. We take pride in our phenomenal team and clients who pursue creative endeavors. Our responsibility to the community, staff, and clients is not a light one and to summarize this care as 'cheaper is better,' is an oversimplification and simply not true. All that said, it may be helpful to know that as owners we had hoped to take a successful maternity/paternity leave during the 6 weeks prior to this comment with the birth of our son.

Pros

Never bored! Fun team of genuinely nice people. Okay salary. Flexible with my learning curve and time-off requests.

Cons

Probably shouldn't be complaining about this but the free snacks were making me fat. I also wish they had better retirement benefits.

Pros

Very flexible with your schedule. Pleasant coworkers and always helpful. Getting to see your hard work become a tangible thing. Reasonable people that will listen to your concerns. Pto was lenient if you submit your request far enough in advance. Will need to do some overtime but not excessively.

Cons

Disorganized. Severely understaffed/over bid projects. A ratio of 5:2 projects managers to drafters. There's a lot of work but no one to draw it for the clients. Pay is lower than average for the area and for experience level. I was started barely above the minimum wage with a 4 year degree in the field. Turnover is somewhat high. I've been around the longest out of almost everyone in the office. I've seen 2 project managers and 2 drafters come and go within weeks of being hired. People that work hard are paid low and quit or get let go, yet people that cause issues in the workplace are allowed to stay. In my field there's not really a way to move up.
