Pros

The job isn't very difficult, but can be dangerous when they have you door knocking clients in bad neighborhoods.

Cons

Attitude that comes from the top down. Poor communication with employees, especially when training.

Pros

Working at Credit Concepts has definitely been an adventure. One thing I can always count on is never running out of tasks to complete – there's always something to do, which keeps things dynamic and interesting. I had the opportunity to work from my own office, which I really appreciated for the focus and privacy it provided. The office staff, for the most part, were friendly and helpful, making the workplace more pleasant. It’s been a rewarding experience in many ways, and I’ve learned a lot along the way. Overall, if you're looking for a fast-paced environment with plenty of work, Credit Concepts offers just that.

Cons

My experience at Credit Concepts, unfortunately, came with some significant challenges. When I first started, things were not ideal. I began at the start of the month, but the company had hired me nearly three weeks before my original intended start date, which created a bit of confusion. I was hired for a Legal Assistant position, but the role didn’t align with what I expected. Instead of focusing on legal tasks, I found myself doing a lot of scanning, some of which hadn’t been addressed since July 2024 – an issue that felt unacceptable. There was another Legal Assistant in the office, but she only worked on specific projects, leaving me with a lot of the other tasks. To make matters more complicated, there was no attorney present in the office, despite the fact that Credit Concepts had hired a private attorney. Communication with the attorney was handled solely by the Legal Coordinator, which raised questions. It seemed odd to have two Legal Assistants and a Legal Coordinator without any internal attorney overseeing the work. Instead, the company had a “Legal Manager,” who, when I looked into their background, had no legal education, no JD, and only a high school diploma. This seemed quite unusual for a legal department. One experience in particular stood out to me as concerning regarding ethics and communication. After being sick a few times, I asked my manager if I could leave early to pick up medication from a pharmacy that closed early. She responded by questioning my request in a dismissive manner, stating “What type of pharmacy closes early? That’s weird.” Then, within seconds, she sent another email claiming she couldn't see properly without her glasses, which felt dishonest. I believe the real issue was that she had seen my message clearly and simply responded inappropriately. The final straw came when I showed up to work and was informed by my manager, without HR present, that I was being let go. This abrupt termination was handled poorly, leaving me with many unanswered questions. Overall, while Credit Concepts offers a fast-paced environment, the company seems to be lacking in some important areas, from communication and management to organizational structure. There are significant improvements needed, especially in terms of consistency, professionalism, and ethical behavior.
