Pros

I've been at CreativeLive for just over a year, but it feels more like three years. Looking back on my time so far, I realize why it has felt more like three years. We have accomplished a lot in this short period of time, and we have big goals in place to accomplish even more. I have consistently been given more responsibility in my role, and have been recognized for the work I put in. It's invaluable how much I have learned in my time here. With such a fast-paced work environment, it's crucial to have a great culture where people can unwind and have fun. We have company after hours events where we go kayaking, bowling, go to local museums, bars, etc. There is no shortage of amazing free food, with catering on our production days, all of which can be enjoyed on our rooftop deck if you are in our San Francisco office. This really is an amazing group of people we have here. There is a lot of passion in this company. We all come in everyday, work hard, and get a lot done.

Cons

The bar is set high for employees here. If you are not ready to work hard, this isn't the place for you. In saying that, everyone here makes an impact on the company, so it's worth it.

Pros

CreativeLive really does a great job at empowering their employees to be successful. I love that they give me the tools to do my job, and give me full trust in my ability to execute and deliver. I also really love that I get to conceive and initiate new creative problem-solving projects on my own, and they tell me to just run with it. The challenges that we face are truly opportunities, and I am excited to see where we go. It's really a great company, and besides the (somewhat standard) growing-pains associated with a young company of this size, I feel like a valued member of an engaging and passionate team. Very cool fun, creative, and lively place to work.

Cons

As is often the case with startups, there is sometimes a sense that we are somewhat struggling to figure out our direction and plan. There is often a disconnect between departments, meaning that when one group is developing a new project, they don't consult with other teams that are inherent stakeholders (until the project is way down the line). There needs to be more avenues for facilitating collaboration and forward-thinking on certain major projects.
