Pros
Meeting nice coworkers was the only good thing.
Cons
The CEO paid interns to write positive reviews. You will never get paid correctly whether salaried or contractor. CEO is inexperienced and lacks communication skills. CEO makes emotional decisions often which causes a lot of bridges to be burned with employees, vendors, and clients. She takes zero accountability but makes it a requirement for everyone else. You will not get good experience here if that’s what you’re looking for. For the entry-level employees, interns, etc. they get the chance to learn from the more experienced staff. If you’re experienced, you learn nothing new. Rather you spend most days being a “personal assistant, note taker, and putting out fires” that the CEO has created due to her non-business disposition. Epitome of “boss babe” and “hustle” culture. CEO doesn’t have real business goals, just things she sees on social media as “goals”. She lies about revenue earned often internally and externally. She wants the titles and accolades but not actually running a business day to day which is a headache. She likes to “play businesswoman” from time to time but does not actually help push the business forward in terms of, writing things down (she likes to call and talk and expect everyone to then play this telephone game). She also lacks to give context, meaning, and she expects you to know what she’s thinking if she shares a link/info with you. The team minus the CEO is great. Everyone is a subject matter expert in their field, however, it's nearly impossible to do your job with leadership who doesn’t understand the first thing about budgeting, overhead costs, and marketing/advertising in general. The environment is unorganized and pure chaos. CEO forgets a lot of what she says and changes plans daily. She won’t even remember your name even when there are less than 20 employees on staff. She has falsely accused employees and contractors of conversations that never occurred because she can’t remember who is who. This is also a result of the high turnover. Sometimes we had teammates for a day before they quit, a month others, and for those of us trapped, a little longer. Save yourself some time and go elsewhere. We all ignored the negative reviews and had to learn the hard way: don’t work here! Seriously!
