Pros

Bonuses and pay/signon bonus if you negotiate correctly. Advocate for yourself

Cons

Gossip, toxic work culture, cliquey. Woman too grown to be acting like teens. No diversity. No support in growth. Never been on a team where a leader speaks so poorly of their team behind their backs it’s disgusting.

Pros

I met some amazingly talented people, worked on some great projects. As people have noted, the building is impressive and the chef makes amazing lunches.

Cons

Notice that on the website, that the focus is the building. Yes there's people in there. Although the people are blurry and it's really about the building. That really says it all. This company is led by the children of the founder. They inherited the business and the building. They didn't dream of being in experiential marketing, it was just a way to make good money. They are nice for the most part, yet they are uninspiring and outmatched in talent by many other people there, including the junior associates. The focus is on making a profit, not delivering amazing value for clients and achieving client goals. For example, they only want to produce the general session, which is where the money is spent, but not breakouts, registrations, room bookings, etc. I was yelled at more than once for trying to deliver value to a client that would reduce profit slightly, but IMO improve our relationship and ultimately future business with them. The accounting dept and project scoping dept - both focused on profit and defining tight scopes are some of the biggest departments in the building.
