Pros

I have only been at Cox for a few months. During my time here I have fell in love with Cox. EVERYONE that work there is extremely nice and willing to help. You don't come i as the new employee or as an inferior employee they treat you like you have been working there for years. You are immediately welcomed with open arms by everyone. You have the exact opportunities as employees that have been there for years. Benefits start on day one as well as paid time off. The resources to help you succeed at your job is tremendous. Its like one BIG family. During Gustav, Cox really stepped it up for the employees and showed how much they truly appreciated the job that we do. They provided onsite daycare for the employees, each day we were supplied with a hot meal, and they even set up a gas station in the parking lot where we could purchase gas at a discounted rate. They were very understanding and supportive during that trying time. We got paid for each day even though we were not physically there working. They set up a disaster fund to help out employees all you had to do is apply and explain your need to be awarded help as needed. The management is awesome they are willing to help you with any issues or concerns you have. They make it a fun and exciting time to be at work. Along with the pay you have the opportunity to win great prizes. Cox has been the best place of employment for me since I have been working.

Cons

The only downside to Cox is the fact that they don't give you any lead way with clocking in from lunch or breaks. You will get an occurrence if you are seconds late. Which I thinks is ridiculous. I mean if I clock out at 3:00:26 I should not be considered late if I clock in at 4:00:35, that is very irrational.

Pros

I had a great experience and benefitted from great leadership, progressive growth opportunities, and exceptional colleagues. The company cares about its employees, and offers exceptional benefits.

Cons

The recent news of the merger (ok, let's be honest...acquisition) by Charter has many people worried about the future and preparing for the worst. There will undoubtedly be cultural changes and I know many people will be frustrated by the new norm.

Pros

Great work/life balance, culture and benefits. Work from home. Unlimited PTO.

Cons

Merging with Charter this year. If I still have a job after the merger, I'll be losing unlimited PTO, WFH, culture and who knows about work/life balance. Some may be asked to move to CT. At the end of 2024 the company offered a generous VSP. Knowing the upcoming severance packages we may be offered by Charter, some of us feel betrayed.
