Pros
Cox has always been good to me -- for that, I am fortunate. Your experience might be different. Borderline above-average benefits, decent courtesy accounts, deeply involved with the community, working harder at meeting the demands of customers.
Cons
Cox is a decent company to work for depending on the team/department you are a part of or leader you are under. "Cox Family Values" exist in theory but there is definitely a new generation of leadership taking the reigns. Certain new leaders are abrasive and aggressive and more and more people seem to be more out for themselves than the company. Depending on teams, competitive behavior is prevalent. Company appears to be bringing a lot of top B School arrogance into the organiation. Upheavals and reorganizations every-couple-of-years seems to be new standard operating practice. Let me be clear: Cox has been very good to me; however, do your homework and research the team you are considering joining to ensure you are a good fit -- It's not just about the company interviewing you. Make sure YOU interview the COMPANY. It goes both ways.
