Cox was an awesome place to work for the first 6 or 7 years there, but its been only tolerable for the last 5 years. - Technical Support Representative Cox Communications Employee Review

Pros

Courtesy cable and internet services, health benefits, 401K match, pension (those days may be going bye bye though) fellow employees are awesome, they do recognize you when you do a job well done, most of the supervisors/management are friendly and approachable.

Cons

Unrealistic sales goals, too many matrices to hit, job security (closing call centers, hiring outsourcers), angry customers, limited support with certain technology (Cox doesn't support wireless routers unless they are "rented" from them...this in turn causes us to say NO a lot and make the customer experience less than desirable. Who doesn't have a router nowadays? Just support the darn things, Cox!)

Hi, thank you for sharing a review! We're glad to know that you enjoy the flexibility, work-life balance and employee benefits that a career at Cox offers, and that you would recommend Cox as an employer. Cox's footprint and cross-industry impact do frequently necessitate agility with change, but we strive to offer a workplace experience that has the stability of a large company with the friendly community and innovation culture of a startup. And while our impact continues to grow, our values and mission remain the same: across our family of businesses, we're building a better future. We hope you feel that to be the case.

Pros

Learned alot with 20+ years with the company, fun place to work, meet great people, Awesome pay.

Cons

Management will throw you under the bus to save themselves, will not stick up for employees, supervisor yelling at team meetings, slamming things around and acting childish. Best micromanager out there.
