Pros

The Coveo products are interesting and mostly doing well. Office perks are nice. The technology is very cool.

Cons

Corporate values are there in name only. They frequently talk about being employee focused and putting employees first however as soon as there was a hint of an economic downturn (Covid-19 related) they had layoffs in some areas while continuing to hire in others. They talk about being a collaborative environment where anyone who "leaves bodies on the roadside despite how well they perform" is let go but in reality many people thrive despite doing exactly that. This is unfortunately happening at all levels of the company. You will see other reviews calling this a "high-performing culture" or "the big leagues" to try and put it in a good light. You will see many other comments about it being a fast paced company and people being overwhelmed. Engagement is generally not collaborative and everyone is encouraged to do their own thing without an overall strategic direction. This means there is always a ton going on because people are looking to stand out. Most of the company is very junior and has very little experience outside of Coveo however that does not prevent many of them from being very arrogant about both their own knowledge and the company. The HR team is an embarrassment.

Pros

Coveo has a great product and a good group of people with whom you interact on a daily basis. Good commission rates and quota seems to be achievable as a yearly quota, even though you are measured quarterly.

Cons

Less than a week and a half in, I was asked by management how my pipeline build was going. It went downhill from there. There are many unrealistic goals for pipeline building and expectations of the number of qualified deals you have to pipe each month. Quota starts on day one and is completely misaligned with the average sales cycle, putting you in a hole almost immediately from a quarterly quota attainment standpoint. You as the Account Executive are the only one responsible for pipeline build, no other teams are accountable, which was not communicated in the hiring process. Meetings are focused exclusively on what you're doing to drive business, with little to no interest in where you may be facing challenges or how the organization can help you in those deals. There’s no feedback loop or collaboration between Sales and Management, making it difficult to raise concerns, share ideas, or get the help needed to succeed. Additionally, there are no team meetings to collaborate on what’s working or not—leaving reps isolated and unsupported. In my experience to date, it can be a very demotivating place to work.
