Pros

Great medical insurance benefits. Also nice to get a fuel card so company fronts the cost of gas instead of reimbursements later. Nice computer system to update case info and add case video. Company provided iPhone with Mobile Hotspot is a huge plus!

Cons

They just don't care about their employees and how the decisions they make will affect their staff. New "sliding pay structure" is a joke! Our hourly payrate now changes every single pay period depending on your "Billing Efficiency" rates. Having a changing payrate every two weeks makes it impossible to budget anything. There is no such thing as "Case Minimum" for the hours you work. In fact, some days, you'll work a case and if there's no activity after just ONE HOUR you will have to break off case for the day. Since they don't pay travel time, that means you have blocked off your entire day expecting to work, but instead, you get paid for one hour. There are no paid holidays except Thanksgiving & Christmas. You are expected to work on all other holidays.... BUT you won't get paid a Premium for being away from your family. There is a need in this field to work holidays, we all get that. But if they will force us to be away from our families on holidays, the company could at least pay us a time and a half or give us 8 extra hours of vacation time. You will work every single weekend. Without a doubt, do not expect a weekend day off. They boast in New Employee Training that the company has 700+ Investigators in the U.S., however only the Top 10 Investigators each month are recognized for their hard work. There is no other recognition at all for anything you do.

In the investigator industry, the volume and type of work can vary due to factors outside of our control, such as client needs, case locations, and seasonal demand. While we cannot eliminate these fluctuations, we are committed to doing everything we can to keep our investigators working consistently. This includes securing new clients, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and delivering high-quality results that generate additional opportunities. Our goal is to minimize downtime and create as much stability as possible in an inherently variable industry. We genuinely value constructive feedback, as it helps us grow and improve. We love hearing that the culture we have created has been helpful and supportive.

Pros

The flexibility to work from home and have some say over your work hours is something that has kept me at the company. This is the benefit that I use to justify the cons.

Cons

The pay structure is way below averages for this line of work. Merit increases are considered annually, but have fallen far behind inflation thus far. PTO is less than what I've experienced in other similar positions. Ongoing training is sparse and seems to create time-intensive problems that would be more efficiently handled with regular training updates. The company makes no contributions to health insurance premiums, which for people like me, means that half my paycheck is gone before I see it just to cover premiums for myself and my son.
