Pros

The job is incredibly easy. The main basis of it is to be able to check-in and check-out guests without any hassle. The training system they authorize to teach us is very helpful and we get discounts on Marriott hotels

Cons

The job is ALWAYS understaffed and there seems to be no support. You have to be able to answer the phone, check a guest in or check a guest out, and deal with other guests' problems ALL AT THE SAME TIME. You will get berated from time to time and yelled at, but the manager will just be in their office not noticing a thing. The job does not have a consistent schedule so say goodbye to your work/life balance.

Pros

The guests were always lovely, and made the job fulfilling.

Cons

Management was awful, no support from them. Favoritism, enabling one person something but not the other. No structure; expectations and rules change by the day. Upper management turns a blind eye to misconduct and abuse of all forms. No loyalty from the company to its employees. Wage theft, illegal time clock adjustments, sexual harrassment from superiors, hostile work environment, all condoned by upper management.
