Pros

I've been an enginner at CounterTack for more than two years, the work is challenging and rewarding. The team is growing and highly skilled. We have acquired a lot of good customers over the last 6 months and the engineering team is getting larger but they are still very selective. I've had good interactions with management and there is good camaraderie in the office. I do very much enjoy this job and feel like the company is on the path to being a top player in security.

Cons

I wish there were more reserved parking spots.

Pros

Opportunities to work from home, great employees to work with, highly innovative company with cutting edge EDR product.

Cons

Just like any software company, there are release deadlines that require employees to work additional hours to deliver the release on time.

Pros

I had the pleasure to work at CounterTack for a short period during the summer between my sophomore and junior year at college, specifically with the Engineering (QA team) and Program Management teams. All in all, it was an extremely pleasant and informative experience in a burgeoning and ever-more relevant industry. Apart from the technical skills I was able to develop, specifically Python coding, the employees were incredibly helpful in going out of their way to ensure that I was up to speed with the rest of the team and taking the time to answer my questions. For example, Mr. Creighton personally made time to meet with me in the Waltham office, and Mr. Davis and Mr. Wolters had several calls with me prior to working to make sure that I had a list of goals and what would be the best way to go about achieving them. Also, working remotely went very smoothly.

Cons

Internship program is young and not yet well-defined, which requires the intern to seek out work a lot on their own if they want to maximize value from program. Not such a terrible thing though!
