Immoral owners who will use you and not pay you - Co-Operator(GM) Costa Vida Employee Review

Pros

Not a single one. There is literally not a single pro to working for this company.

Cons

Excessively long hours being paid less than every single other employee. Owners are very immoral and act like a group of frat boys. They make decisions that turn out poorly and then blame random other people that were not even involved in the decisions process. You will be fired randomly without any warning for something you didn't have control over or knew was even a problem. The worst part is after you confront these supposedly "Mormon" people about their actions and how they treat people they will start a campaign of lies and disinformation against you. This is to make you look like a horrible person and make you feel like you did something wrong when in reality you were just being used as a scapegoat by a couple of rich white boys using the money daddy gave them to party and ruin other peoples lives. Do not work here.

Pros

Excellent communication at the location I was at. It felt like we were always in the loop about changes and shifts within the company. The manager had fostered a great degree of interaction between employees, management, and the regulars. Very accommodating of health issues that sometimes made work difficult.

Cons

Honestly, I don't have any. It's the best job I've had so far. If anything, sometimes the schedule came out late.

Pros

I enjoyed that Costa Vida did seem like they cared about their employees. They prioritized events and benefits for employees.

Cons

There was a lack of qualification in important roles. Managers and even upper management at times just fell into roles they were unqualified for and I think that can be okay if there is training and certifications etc to go along with that, but I didn't see it.
