Pros

Pay and benefits keep golden handcuffs on people. People who want to do science and not insurance think they can’t find something better, but they are so wrong. Life outside of Corteva is so much better. This used to be a great company, so the decline over the last 10-20 years is sad.

Cons

Everything else: Terrible leadership, awful culture, arrogant scientists and IT, no chance for promotion unless you have a PhD, but there is no desire by most to be promoted because staying as far away from the incompetent leadership is the best place to be. Leadership blames employees for the toxic culture they have created and try to make employees fix what is their problem. So, people just keep quiet or it adds more work to their plate that can’t be fixed unless leadership does something; which they won’t as then they would have to admit fault and actually try and live up to the slogans which are merely buzzwords with nothing behind them. “Stand tall, be curious??” The culture is “shut up and do your job”. One of the worst toxic environments I have ever seen after working at many companies. Blame and finger pointing runs rampant.

Pros

Always evolving company in engineering

Cons

Management isn't competent in the specific field they are managing. Not enough experience in that field to be guiding others.
