Pros
- Friendly hospitality and head office staff
Cons
When I first joined, I believed I had a good grasp of what to expect. However, I soon found myself working under a management who seemed to lack a clear understanding of their role. As a result, I was tasked with responsibilities far beyond my job description. Despite raising concerns repeatedly, the issue of workload imbalance/problems went unaddressed. It felt as though the management was out of touch with reality and lacked basic fundamental knowledge in their fields.
Seeing multiple colleagues approach me in tears due to mistreatment was deeply troubling. While upper management initially showed some concern, their indifference became more evident over time. Eventually, the situation became intolerable, leading to my departure as it severely affected my well-being, compelling me to prioritize my values.
Furthermore, I've noticed additional behaviors from management, including:
- Lack of competence
- Instances of harassment
- Taking credit (behind the scenes) for successes while deflecting blame onto other departments for failures
- Toxic behavior
- Dishonesty to seize opportunities
- Speaking negatively about other departments or hospitality staff
- Rudeness towards hospitality staff
- Superiority complex
