Pros

Cornell Pump is a company with a strong reputation for producing high-quality, durable pumps, allowing employees to contribute to products that are trusted worldwide. The company values innovation and offers opportunities to work with cutting-edge technology, enhancing career and skill development. With a history of steady growth and success, Cornell Pump provides job security and the chance for long-term career advancement. The collaborative, team-oriented culture encourages employee input and professional growth, while offering diverse challenges in engineering and manufacturing. Additionally, the company supports work-life balance and provides competitive pay and benefits, ensuring employees are well-rewarded for their contributions.

Cons

One downside of working at Cornell Pump is that many employees feel the higher-ups can be out of touch with the day-to-day realities of the workforce. Senior management may not always have a clear understanding of the challenges faced by those on the front lines, particularly in production or technical roles. This disconnect can lead to decisions that don’t always align with the needs or experiences of employees, creating frustration or a sense that leadership is disconnected from the operational realities. The lack of direct communication between upper management and frontline workers can sometimes result in slow responses to feedback or the implementation of changes that don’t fully address the concerns of staff. This dynamic can contribute to a feeling of being undervalued or overlooked, especially if you’re not directly involved in high-level decision-making.

Pros

It's a great company with good benefits with a community feel to it. The traditional benefits or medical, dental, etc. are just the beginning. There are small daily benefits, such as snacks, comradery, and regular interactions with management in positive ways that also make it great. This truly is a "it's the little things" scenario. There is also a real concern and input from the executive management for the input from every employee. No closed doors, seems to be the real policy and that anything that is good and bad is truly listened to and resolved. Nothing seems to be done in a closed door way. Everyone is able to no the reasons for any decisions. I love how much interaction I can have will all levels of employees. The pay is also on par with other industry standards.

Cons

If there is one, it's that it's a smaller business, but that would only really matter if someone were using the company as a stepping stone to another larger company. But I see no reason to leave once you are in. It's a great environment.

Pros

Check, the support team is nice,

Cons

Management is a mess. There’s no real training, no support, and no structure. You’re expected to figure everything out on your own with little to no guidance, then get blamed when things go wrong. Leadership is openly disrespectful. Talking down to employees, being rude, and even yelling in meetings is normal here. Accountability doesn’t exist—management will make mistakes and refuse to own them. You’ll get thrown into situations with zero direction and unrealistic expectations (like fixing issues in 15 minutes with no context). There’s no clear process for tickets, so everything feels disorganized and reactive. If you work here, watch your back. Don’t expect support, and don’t expect to be treated professionally. The pay might be decent, but that’s the only upside. Also, if you have a backbone or speak up for yourself, don’t expect management to like it—they clearly prefer people who just keep their heads down.
