Pros

I genuinely loved working at Corndel. The flexibility was a HUGE positive - proper flexibility, not just "we say we're flexible" flexibility. Unlimited holiday that you could actually take without anyone making you feel guilty about it. And the fact that you could do an apprenticeship as an employee was brilliant. The people were some of the best I've worked with. Supportive, collaborative, no egos. The mission is real too - you actually feel like you're helping people access education and develop their careers. It's not just marketing fluff.

Cons

Career progression is the one frustration, average salaries the other. Even if you're delivering results and clearly ready for the next step, there's no clear path. You kind of have to fight for it, which gets tiring when you're already proving yourself every day.

Pros

Corndel is genuinely a place where you can make lifelong friends. It's family-orientated and your working week can be flexible to accommodate life. You won't feel afraid to disclose doctor appointments, childcare, or unforeseen personal issues. As long as you get your work done to a high standard, everyone works together to achieve their goals. The social events are always a lot of fun and you're made to feel like you're making an impact. There is an 'unlimited' annual leave benefit, but the caveat is you need to work hard and dedicate yourself to your role.

Cons

1. My salary was significantly below market average, especially considering my workload and length of employment (and I don't think this was an isolated case). While you may be praised for your hard work, there are no governed or structured pathways to salary reviews or promotions, which I hope will become a focus in the future. 2. Corndel is very ambitious, which is great! With ambition comes a high workload and a fast-paced environment - not a bad thing. The 'but' is it becomes incredibly challenging to focus without consistent frameworks or scalable processes, two areas I think Corndel can improve on. The pace and volume of this work doesn't leave much time for strategic thinking or proactive process improvements (from an individual contributor perspective). If you prefer slower paced environments, you'd probably feel incredibly stressed.
