Upper middle management is constantly hampering our ability to serve clients, be it by incompetence or malice, via moving goalposts, not sticking to promises made, (whatever happened to having our customers use our ticketing or the contract doesn't get signed?) and not providing the resources we need (Aka people and the pay to get them). Instead, we get more customers and metrics piled on a team that is being forced to run leaner and leaner. Morale is nonexistent.
I've been here 6 and a half years, and I've never been as perpetually stressed and irritated as I am now. My health is actively tanking from the stress I've been under trying to make things work for the people I'm responsible for.
The former BlueChip team now in management either does not understand or care how a NOC and Service Desk need to work at an MSP. They ask for utilization metrics as if we were doing project work, instead of our positions where a lot of our work is reactive.
Diversity is an absolute joke at the company. There have been stints where I have been the only woman in my department for months, if not years. (There goes my anonymity.)
Getting promotions at Core has been an utter exercise in pulling teeth. If not for my current supervisor who is also quitting in disgust with this incompetent management, I may have never gotten any. Said supervisor also actually got to jump the line ahead of me, he used to be one of the employees I was responsible for! I don't hold it against him. Politics happened.
CEO Lidsky talks a good game. Not sure if he's aware of how bad things have gotten, and how much worse they're going to get as this derailed train continues to crash.
