Cons

My last review was removed and i'm unsure why? My recommendation for any potential new starter, do your own research before interviewing and be sure to contact both current and former employees. Be sure to read the reviews on here, all of them, and decipher the accurate ones, from the clearly false narrative that this is a "5-star" organisation. It definitely isn't. By far, the biggest negative within the Cora Team is Senior Management. They will preach a good working culture and talk about the "Cora Familly" yet they continually shift goalposts, with strategies changing on an almost 6-monthly cycle. Hours are long, training is minimal, and as someone has already highlighted, it is a "sink or swim" environment where only members of the SMT come out looking good - This has led to a huge turnover of staff throughout the business, with the majority of key figures that made up the original success, now gone. Much of the work is generated by lazy sales or over-promised functionality to clients. The Development and Support Teams are often over-worked and underappreciated, regularly playing catch-up on delivery sprints or resolving bugs for the top clients. In Sales, almost all of the experience in selling a PPM/SPM SaaS solution has now been lost as the business shifts its focus and strategy to "Tier 1" clients only, with a huge focus now in the USA. Ever-changing commission plans, fighting for what is owed, or genuine sales opportunities being moved to other sales reps (often the ones that work in Ireland, closely aligned to the CEO) is common practice. If you don't work out of Ireland, closely with the CEO and CFO, you will fail in this business, as many of the Senior Team will protect themselves. The real culture within this business is one of self-preservation, punching-down, and, when things aren't going right (which is 80% of the time), shouting the loudest. I forsee huge issues for this business in the next couple of years.

Pros

Some "work flexibility". If you like to travel, theres opportunities to do so. Their product has a lot of potential. Mid-level employees are generally good people to work with.

Cons

If you are reading this in preparation for an interview, I would ask questions specifically about the points below and their plans to improve, make them be specific in their responses. If they give you some sort of general answer, just know, they have no real plan of improving anything. Terrible culture starting with terrible upper and senior management completely lacking in basic relationship skills such as: - tactful communication - ability to build any trust or stability amongst the team - feedback Company has a high turnover rate, about 12 people came and left within a year of being hired, or in one case quit within about a month of joining because of the complete chaos. The stress levels are very high, most people are looking for another job. Leadership has and will sellout in throwing their own team members under the bus, and have fired numerous people at the request of customers, without notice, regardless of good performance. Two-faced politics are very real at the this company, they will preach we're all "Cora family", but their actions would say otherwise otherwise. Their is no onboarding process to speak of, sink or swim mentality from day one, with no structured support, and when/if you fail, the blame will fall on you.
