Pros
Futuristic office. Pay is decent.
Cons
The management always made you feel like nothing you ever did was enough. Their daily emails demanded answers on the most insignificant mistakes and belittled your work and were very discouraging. They would have last minute meetings to nitpick at your work and remind you everything you do means nothing. Files were assigned daily to you where other schedulers dropped files, but you were forced to work them and pick up their slack. Favoritism towards certain longer term employees and not making them not have accountability for significant mistakes made in the files that delayed patients therapy. The production expectations were unrealistic, and even if you met them, you were expected to exceed them each month. Struggled with production but was denied to transfer to another department to see if that was a better fit. Was never written up, but fired suddenly after being told to come back to the office, and was told I would be helped. Drove out 50 miles daily for a whole week just to be let go without any warning. You are not allowed to change your schedule for a very long time. You will not get pay raises, unless you’re a favored employee, and if you do, it’s cents. You will work extra hours like a slave for months, but will never be appreciated for your hard work and dedication. Overtime hours are mandatory without exception, regardless if you have a family at home who needs you. They will suck the energy right out of you. The benefits are crap and employees still pay out of pocket. The management is disrespectful and unprofessional and treats their staff like garbage. They act like you’re not even there and won’t even assure you they are there to help. I never met my new supervisor as she never once came to show support. That right there says a lot about CorVel.
