Pros

Corporate provides lots of leeway in how to produce results. There is minimal standardization throughout the organization. Lots of oversight in the form demands but not a lot of solutions being produced from the corporate group.

Cons

No merit increase, reducing competitiveness among other industry peers. Some directors are toxic and really only know how to manage up but strictly demand from their direct and indirect reports leading to a lack of empowerment and excessive micromanagement. Some directors target specific managers. Program managers will create lists of 80 improvement actions and act as though the world is falling and hold multiple meetings with complete lack of awareness of how to actually produce change and improvement.

Pros

When I first started, it was an exciting and new experience.

Cons

Pay is very low, and the only way to really make money is to work as much overtime as you can. The more you work, the more they work you. The plant itself isn't well kept, and I left because I had reached my contact quota. My line was one of the lines that produced the most and was usually able to run continuously, unlike the other lines. However, this meant they worked us like dogs, and as time went on, the consideration of how much work was being put in, as well as the overall "you are replaceable" environment, caused me to walk out. When I brought up all my concerns to my supervisor, I was told that if I didn't like it, I could leave. So, I clocked out and walked out. Two days later, my line caught fire and was down for a couple of days. The same complaints I was making were still ignored. Thus, cause and effect.
