SCAM!!!! BEWARE AND STAY AWAY - Marketing Consultant Cooper Concepts Employee Review

Pros

None. This place is a complete scam and should be avoided at all cost. I don't know if they are writing reviews for themself or what, but this is a pyramid scheme and is bizarrely cult-like. They recruit like crazy because nobody will stay at a place that has you soliciting door to door, claiming that you are offering businesses a "company discount" to switch service providers, when in reality you are doing unsolicited sales, which, by the way, are ILLEGAL in most places! This place is a joke! Avoid at all cost!

Cons

I was hired under the impression that I was going to be doing inside business to business sales. WRONG!!!! I was hired to do canvassing. I was so embarrassed to have quit my job for this. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Dear Reviewer, As much as we normally thank individuals for their feedback and input, it seems as if your review isn't meant to be constructive or provide feedback whatsoever. In fact your review seems to want to be destructive and condescending. Nonetheless, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. To comment on several points in your review, there's no possible way our company could be involved in a "scam", a "pyramid scheme" or a "cult" and still represent the Fortune 500 and 1000 clients that we do. In fact, companies like AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc. would terminate the contract they had with us in a second, if they had any doubts about our character or integrity. If any aspect of our work was illegal, we wouldn't be going into our third year of business. We hope that makes sense to any reader. I would like to apologize that your experience with our company was unfavorable. Naturally, we would never want to hire someone who was unaware about the work they had been hired to do. That's counterproductive and doesn't make financial sense for our company to invest in the recruitment and training of this individual for them to be unhappy because they didn't understand the job description! In the end, I wish that I had made you feel more comfortable to approach me about your concerns or questions, rather than the internet. If you would ever like to speak with me directly, please call the office at any time and ask for Apryl. Sincerely, CEO/Apryl Christensen

Pros

Very fun, energetic group of people to work with. Patient team, could tell they wanted to train me to do well and advance with them. Saw multiple people getting promoted with in company.

Cons

When they say work hard play hard, they mean WORK HARD. Now, that doesn't seem like a con for everyone because with that, it was fun and everyone got recognized for their results too.

Pros

attending BBQ's, karaoke, professional sporting events, etc. The company is also involved with the community and philanthropy. Management and account managers are approachable and very supportive. There is great opportunity for advancement within the company. It's an entry level position so I was trained to know everything that I needed to be successful. I learn new skills and responsibilities on a weekly basis. Also, the structure is based off of no seniority so the timeline of an employee is not a determining factor for advancement, it's all merit based. Great position for anyone that feels they're competitive, hard working and outgoing, and looking for a change of pace.

Cons

It's important to set goals early on to give direction to your career path. You need to have short-term as well as long-term goals to maintain motivation in order to keep moving towards the end goal. Also it's very important to celebrate not only the big but small victories. You can't get anywhere if you don't know where you are going.
