Pros

The kids are awesome, and you get to take home food.

Cons

Long distance travel is expected, but not compensated. Recipes are unhealthy, full of fats and sugar, not culturally accurate. Lesson plans are not well researched, can be offensive and culturally insensitive. Overtime is expected, and not compensated. No workman's comp available. No paid sick time. No real training provided. Preparation time is unpaid, but required. No benefits for full-time employees. Management expects to have contact at all times, even when not working and outside of work hours -- time spent in contact is also unpaid.

Pros

I enjoyed my time working with this company. I’m not totally sure why some people had bad experiences, but that doenat speak to my experience whatsoever. This is a fun part time gig, the hours are perfect if you’re a college student. Shopping is paid, training is paid, the hourly is really good. I had fun working with the kids and the other teachers were great also. Mindy is very invested in her business and takes a very hands on approach. The kids make it really fun also, they have the best time baking and cooking.

Cons

Hours are part time as they’re after school classes.
