Pros
Video solution has a large and impressive client list. Opportunity to work with some of the industry's biggest names. Some very dedicated, smart and hard working people at the client-facing level. Reasonable pay and good perks.
Cons
The company is trying to pivot from Video and the Media & Entertainment space to new verticals and new markets. However, there is very little to show for the intensive effort over some years, and as a result the field organization is deeply anxious and pessimistic. Management has no interest in their workforce (ie people), and appears to have the attitude that the reason the company is in the situation it's in is that their workforce is stupid and lazy. As a result, layoffs, firings and then inexplicable hirings are constant, creating an atmosphere of tension and anxiety. There is constant institutional gaslighting, where management's religious belief in the company's product meets prospect and customer feedback and there is aggressive pushback that the customer and staff are wrong and need to be reeducated. This creates a bizarre atmosphere where there is no psychological safety and staff self-censor any feedback to ensure that the C-suite hear what they want to hear. Sales was given the least realistic expectations I've seen in 20 years of enterprise sales. There is absolutely no interest or effort to retain staff who are demoralized and have no possibility to make their number. Turnover is consequently very high.
