Pros

Conversocial is a really fun company to work for. It still has the freshness of a start up, with the experience of an enterprise company, meaning there is a lot of hard work expected, but then lot of people will still choose to stay behind after work for a drink and to be sociable. There's always so much support in what you choose to do, whether that's to progress your career (and there is a lot of opportunity to do so here), to be given flexibility to make your personal life fit your work life and not the other way round, or whether you are just having a bad day and need a friendly conversation. Everyone understands everyone else's role within the company, and why we all rely on everyone else to make the company succeed. Having shares in the company helps you want to make it all succeed, but it's mostly just because we recognise the effort that everyone else puts in and we want everyone else to reap the rewards. Management is good, as they make sure that they take the time to get to know their teams. This goes all the way up to C-Suite, who always come to Christmas and Summer parties and get involved! The social aspect is awesome, with everyone making the effort to get together regularly and creating true friendships within the office.

Cons

The hours can be long at times, if there is something urgent requested by a client, bigger projects happening to a deadline, etc. However, this is always taken into account and it means later on time can be taken back or hours can be more flexible.

Pros

There are three things I look at when evaluating opportunities, and Conversocial overwhelmingly hits all three of them: 1. The industry - It's such an exciting time to be involved with social right now. Companies are using social media in such innovative ways, and social customer service is only going to get bigger! Really exciting to see how our clients have embraced social as more than just a marketing channel. 2. The company - Great organization that cares about its employees. Company lunch every day, flexible working environment, good benefits, trust between senior management and employees, little to no politics, and lots of room for growth. Everyone is in a position to make the business better. 3. The team - this one is my favorite. People are smart, driven, and inspiring. The senior management team are people you actually want to work for, and your peers are people you actually want to work with. Says a lot when we like hanging out with each other outside of work!

Cons

Our team is rapidly growing, and that presents challenges and growing pains with any company. We're still working out the kinks (like making sure our projector works 100% of the time), but for the most part the cons aren't big enough to make this place feel routine.

Thanks for your thoughts and advice. Great to hear all the positive feedback. As you know, I'm a huge believer in transparency, but I also agree we didn't always live up to that 100%, and communication around both starters and leavers can be improved. Since this review we've implemented new processes to improve this significantly.
