Pros

The initial concept of the business is exciting and has potential. Some of the team members genuinely care about client experience and results. The role provided sales and leadership experience.

Cons

-Misclassification of Employment: Employees were treated like W-2 workers but classified as 1099 independent contractors, leading to wage and benefit issues. -Wage Discrepancies: Pay was inconsistent, and agreed-upon salary terms were not honored. When questioned, management denied prior agreements. -Hostile Management: Upper management, created a toxic environment through intimidation, gaslighting, and threats to job security. -Poor Leadership & Internal Conflicts: Marketing was run by a sister company with investor ties, resulting in low-quality leads and unrealistic sales expectations. Any concerns raised about this were met with hostility.

Pros

Some of the coworkers are pleasant.

Cons

I would strongly encourage anyone considering a position at Contour Spa to think twice and seriously look elsewhere before accepting a job there. The biggest issue, hands down, is how pay is tied to completely unrealistic sales goals. These targets are not just “challenging”—they are flat-out unattainable. Your income ends up depending on numbers that are set so high, it feels impossible to reach them no matter how hard you work. It creates constant pressure and stress, and instead of feeling motivated, you feel set up to fail from day one. On top of that, upper management creates a toxic and hostile work environment. There’s a clear lack of respect for employees, and the overall culture feels negative and unsupportive. Instead of leadership that builds people up, it feels like constant pressure, criticism, and unrealistic expectations with little to no encouragement or accountability from the top. Support is minimal across the board. Training is lacking, expectations are unclear, and yet you’re still held responsible for results that don’t reflect what’s actually achievable. There’s a major disconnect between leadership and what employees are dealing with on a daily basis. Communication is poor, and concerns about pay, workload, or expectations don’t lead to any meaningful change. It quickly becomes clear that employee feedback isn’t valued. What’s most frustrating is that your effort doesn’t match your compensation. You can work hard, do everything right, and still fall short financially because the system itself isn’t designed to be fair. If you’re looking for a stable, supportive workplace where your pay reflects realistic expectations and leadership actually values its employees, this is not it. I would absolutely recommend finding a position somewhere that treats you with respect—because this place doesn’t.
