Company review. - Chemist II Consumer Product Testing Company Employee Review

This previous staff member was out on maternity leave, and returned to work. She was not reviewed because she hadn't completed a year of work once she returned. The staff member then got pregnant a second time and this time her physician did not want her working in the chemistry department. We made an accommodation to move them to a department and a position that they were overqualified so they could remain on staff. We did not change the compensation level to match the new position. Not once was there any thanks for providing an alternative position and not changing their compensation during this time. Once they returned from that maternity leave, they came back to the chemistry department where they worked for a short time, completing a full year as a chemist, before giving notice. Prior to the two maternity leaves, they received regular reviews and compensation increases. I guess that prior period of time conveniently slipped their mind. We have several choices of medical insurance with varying levels of benefits and subsidized costs. Each staff member gets to choose the option that meets their needs best. Since this staff member has a spouse that worked in pharma, the choice for medical plans could have been the other company, but our company plan was chosen. Therefore, our plan must have been pretty good in comparison and the former staff member is just being disingenuous in her review.
