Pros

It is 9 mins. from my home Met some really nice people. If this is your calling there is a lot of growth opportunity

Cons

"We pay for your benefits" they do but there is a catch. You have to agree to their terms which is a wellness program. Now I don't have an issue with it per say, you have to walk a certain amount of miles per month, I have the issue that they keep that little secret to themselves until AFTER you have already started training. Some of this may read as petty but I just don't understand the logic behind it..no garbage cans at your desk. You have to let your garbage sit at your desk until you get up and go on break or lunch, you get the point. There are company policies but each supervisor chooses which ones they follow, amend them or just don't follow..for example there is no policy that states one can not eat certain "dry" foods ie: donuts, which the company supplies but my supervisor said no. When I was told this I felt like I was being spoken to like a 2 year old. I have mastered the skill of eating just saying. The pay is $12.71 for the first 32 hours and the last 8 are at $21.71 which comes to $14.11 per hour, now that makes sense..not. When I started there were 19 people in my training, 2 months later there are only 7. Some got let go and others quit. And DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT taking any time off or coming in late during training or for the 1st 60 days you will get fired. Your not allowed t see the PTO that you accumulate from day 1 until that 60 days. No benefits for 90 days. And if you do not have the patience of a saint this job is definitely not for you. You will assisting senior's who do not have the first clue on how to operate a smart phone and will buy an iPhone because their 10 year grandchild told them too. I'm not exaggerating with this, you will literally have to tell them after you have them make a test call to put the phone to their ear. I'm not joking! You will get calls asking how to turn the phone on, how do I make a call, how do I turn the phone off, what's a "home page" what's an app. It is ridiculous with some the issues they will call about. Best of luck!

Pros

Consumer Cellular has an incredibly supportive culture where leadership, fellow trainers, and other departments work together and genuinely want people to succeed. I feel trusted to lead classes, coach new hires, and contribute beyond just delivering training. The role allows me to use my strengths in teaching, coaching, and developing others while making a meaningful impact on employees' growth and confidence. The remote work environment, work-life balance, stability, and opportunities for continuous learning make it an enjoyable place to work. Most importantly, I feel valued, supported, and empowered to do my job effectively, which has made this one of the most positive work experiences of my career.

Cons

The role requires a high level of energy and engagement each day, and advancement opportunities may be more limited depending on organizational needs. However, these challenges are relatively minor compared to the overall positive experience and support provided by the company.
