Pros

They pay pretty well and it’s good to get the experience in engineering field where you can learn a lot of practical information that can translate to many other companies when you inevitably look to quit. Coworkers are good.

Cons

Work/life balance is poor. There are times when it is manageable and then there are times when it is not. Your life is subject to how your senior leadership feels regardless of procedures/processes. If someone in your group leaves, you are guaranteed to pick some of their slack up and probably live with it until you quit. They don’t care about attrition rates or that talent/people are being lost. A lot of this place is run on tribal knowledge that isn't captured anywhere. It's not the end of the world but it will take an excessive amount of time for someone new in role to do a thing where a 10/20/30 year experienced person would do it in 5 minutes because they just know where to look. They’re limiting work from home which they once praised us for how good we did it. They do not listen to your concerns or care about you, you are a number. The senior leadership will just rotate out so there is no accountability for poor culture. If you are a good worker then you are rewarded with more work. The only pro is the money and even that is not good enough for people. We have had 11 people leave the company, 7 transfer out of this group, and 2 retire since 2021. Our headcount is only 17 or so people.

Pros

Working at Constellation has been an incredibly positive experience. The leadership team genuinely values employee feedback and creates an environment where everyone feels heard, respected, and supported. Collaboration is encouraged across all levels, and new ideas and insights are welcomed with openness and appreciation. As a Project Manager, I’ve experienced strong teamwork, professional respect, and a culture where colleagues are always willing to help one another succeed. The company truly fosters growth, innovation, and a positive work environment that makes employees feel valued every day.

Cons

I don't have any cons at the moment.

Pros

Coworkers are all intelligent and overall good people to spend 12hrs a day with.

Cons

The department is perpetually understaffed. You’ll never actually work an 8hr shift, because no one is dumb enough to vote for that schedule. There’s not enough operators to fill the schedule without being forced all the time for 16hr shifts. Be prepared to be forced for OT on a regular basis even with a 12hr schedule. If your family is important, then this probably is not a good long-term plan. You’re going to miss sports, holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, etc. You live at work and home is a place you sleep. The company might advertise company holidays, but that just means you get paid a little more for being here on those days.
