Pros

Great place to gain applied/'real-world' experience and transition from graduate student to a real, working person, while completing degree or dissertation. People are very nice Opportunities exist in agency you are placed in for future employment

Cons

Working on contracts awarded by DOD/Government most of the time, which means that things can sometimes move slow.

Pros

Provided great mentorship opportunities in DOD labs as well as excellent financial support.

Cons

No tuition support, no guarantee for future transitions into work or employment like with other DOD internship programs such as Pathways or Palace Acquire or grant programs like NDSEG or SMART.
